2005 Sport/Limited/SR5 or what?

Ok, I actually have a 2005 V8 Sport Edition. Until yesterday, I did have the XREAS suspension (non lifting). I now have the front coil assemblies on the front (shocks, springs) and rear springs with coils springs off a 2007 4wd FJ Cruiser. So when I go, hopefully a long time from now, to buy replacement shocks, do I tell them I need shocks for a 2005 V8 Sport edition with the FJ suspension? Or do I just tell them I need 2007 FJ shocks to replace the old ones? Just curious. FYI, I got about 1" lift front and rear from preliminary measurements (top of tire top of fender well). Just say you need: 2007 4WD FJ Cruizer.

Harold why don't you just tell the supplier / installer that you have a 2005 Sport, but with the specific suspension part you used from 2007 FJ Cruiser. Hard to believe someone isn't going to know what will work. In fact it's likely you'll have a lot of choices for shocks that will work with your new suspension.

I know Mike, but usually my luck is that the parts guy is looking out the window and seeing my 4Runner and wondering what kind of nut he has here and asks why I'm ordering the FJ stuff if I'm driving a 4Runner. Hey Maz.......I know, opens up more possibilities and I got rid of the XREAS that was starting to leak.........I like the ride, seems a little harsher than the one I took off, but I like it.....................

or you can just tell them the truth, and say that you put fj suspension on your 4runner. i don't see what the issue is here. are you so afraid of what the parts guy thinks of you to honestly ask this question??

That's a first, that they don't just want to take your money and order the parts. Maybe that dealer is like Costco, refusing to install tires other than what the manufacturer has specified.
