2005 Time / Temp guage not lighting up

I just had a iSimple cord installed in my 4Runner at Best Buy yesterday and last night my gauge with the time and temperature was not lighting up. The LCD shows, but the gauge does not light up. I was almost certain it lighted up before I had the wire installed for my ipod, do you think they could have messed something up that makes that gauge not light up now?

Is it supposed to light up? All my other gauges, radio, ac units, etc light up, but not the time/temp gauge.

Also where can I get the coin tray add on for the middle console for my 05 runner? I never got one with mine.

The Isimple ISAS71 cord also for my ipod seems to be having a volume loss. When I switch from the CD1 which is hooked to the cord to my ipod the volume is much less than all other sources (FM1,FM2,AM and CD)..

Anyone else worked with a isimple cord?

I dont think it should be having the loss in volume and with my dash light not working on the time/temp gauge I think maybe best buy install guys didnt do something right on the install.

There are 2 lamps behind that display and it seems odd that both of them are out now. Since you also have the volume problem I would take it back to Best Buy. It's possible that you already had one burned out lamp and that the removal of the A/C section which can require some force loosened the other lamp. Here are some pictures of the back of that panel which show what is there.

finally got it all fixed.

the 2 bulbs in the display had burned out, replaced them and it works fine

the volume was low because pin 6 needed to be turned on with the isimple control box, now the ipod volume is the same as all other sources! works great! no static, loud clear sound too and i can control the songs from my steering wheel on my ipod! had it installed in my center console so my ipod is in there and i can take it out and manually change songs too.

now just to find where to get the coin tray for the center console..

I have the same problem with the temp display lights, but only with one of them. Where were you able to source the replacement bulb?
