2006 4runner has a hard time starting

I tried starting the vehicle earlier and it was cranking but not turning over. All of the lights came on. After trying about 4 or 5 times still nothing. I decided it would be worth a shot to try jumping it but nothing happened after 2 or 3 times. After trying one more time it finally kicked on. After the cables were taken off I would turn the vehicle off and on and it would kick on after a few cranks, but wouldn't seem very strong. I left the vehicle alone for a few hours and once coming back to it it's still the same.

I have the stock battery that allows you to add distilled water to it. I decided to try and add some water. The vehicle would crank and turn over but it still wasn't very strong.

I have tried searching but not exactly sure what the problem might be. Any suggestions would be great.

u mean the battery wasnt very strong, or the engine wasnt running strong?( almost stalling?) any lights on when engine was running?

I once had a similar issue...found out it was that I didn't tighten down the battery clamp on the battery post.
