Hey all...I bought a 2006 4Runner Sport Edition 4x4 V6 Titanium on Monday...and I love it!!! Drove the first one off the lot!!...(only one actually...there was one and I got it...I originially was just going to ask the dealership when they expected the 06's to come in but when I drove up I noticed an 06 and had to go check it out!...They made me a good deal because I was a returning customer at that particular dealer-- >> '97 Camry, '00 Avalon, 04' Avalon--- I've been looking into getting an '05 for a long time...really long time....but the changes drew me in!!....I got the first 06' in my area!...VERY Happy with it!...
I love the new HID Projection Headlamps especially...and standard power seats...both driver and passenger!!
Notable changes:
The Cluster--
The left side buttons on the RPM Cluster are removed and the left and right turn signal indicators are now located lower inside the center MPH --which are a little easier to see.
Center Column--
The "mini port" is located inside the center column storage area at the very bottom. Very handy...but the WMA and MP3 readable CD player can just read a MP3 or WMA if you are willing to make a CD---
Grille/Front End Changes/Rear Changes--
On my Sport Edition Smoked Crome Grille on the front end...obvious >> Projection Headlamps for main...Highbeams are Halogen--Signal lights and emergency flashers are also located in the same lighting cluster as main headlamps instead of combination Foglamps and Turn Signal; normally located on the lower portion of the front bumper---Foglamps are singled out no longer combined---Rear bumber eliminated the two lights on the back bumper...the new rear headlamps are very nice an visible i believe they are LED.---
Most of the standard options have been explained by matoolie's post and others------Side Curtain Airbags where in mine--Moonroof also was on my particular model---
I just wanted to let everyone know....any questions on exterior or interior of the 4Runner go ahead and ask...I'll be free to answer them..I will get some pics up soon...
