2006 4Runner rear shocks

I recently had my 2006 rear brakes apart because the dealer who did the brakes messed up the parking brake. While I had it apart, I noticed a tube running from the shock at the top. Can anyone tell me what it does. I looked at replacement shocks online but they were just regular shocks...
Also, as a new user, can someone tell me how to mind my posts?

The line to the shock is part of a system called XREAS. It's designed to help keep the 4runner from leaning in turns. There aren't any aftermarket shocks that are compatible, you can install them but you loose the functionality of the XREAS system. Read through this thread for a more detailed explanation.

I put regular shocks on my 2006 instead of the XREAS. I'm not going to say huge mistake but I will say it rides much differently especially with leaning in the turns. Replacing with OEM is very expensive but I would probably go that route if I had the chance again.
