Rear brake shim kit?

I ordered new OEM rear brakes (premium not value line) and rotors plus the shim kit (0496-60141) and I'm not sure how to properly use the shims. Can someone please tell me how to use these shims?

Also, I did not get new metal clips for the pads to fit in. Is it critical to use new clips or will I be OK using the ones that are in there?

Part number for metal hardware (clips) if anyone has them?

Never mind, I found out how to use the shims and also found out that the hardware (metal clips) does NOT come with the brake pads. I just ordered a set from my local dealer.
