2006 4Runner Struts/Shocks

I have a question to anyone that I can get an opinion

My struts are starting to leak and Toyota is getting rid of the life time warranty as of August 1st. So before that I am looking in to either getting them replaced and that would cost Approx 1500.00 for everything or I was told that some people converted over to just shocks and I talked to someone who did it not only to his truck but for a few other people.

He says you will never know the difference. I love the way my truck feels. The suspension is still stiff and I have 126,000 miles on it.

Should I do the shocks?

New used 2006 4runner AWD Limited

I bought my 2006 Limited AWD 4Runner in June. After replacing the tires a few days ago I will replace the rear shocks (for sure) and maybe the front struts later. I will get a set of Bilsteins (Amazon around $75) and install them myself.looks like a no brainer to me. If unsure about anything may Youtube will have a video. I really like the new ride by the way(smooth as silk) when compared to my 2001 Jeep Cherokee.
