2006 SR5 V6 2WD -- Good deal?

Hi all ... AWESOME SITE! I literally spent about 6 hours yesterday going over thousands of posts and learned a ton. My wife and I are looking for a T4R currently and we think we found a pretty good deal, but wanted all of your expertise/experience.

2006 Shadow Mica Gray 4Runner SR5/Sport Edition 2WD ... It has 45K Miles, cloth seats (powered both sides), steering wheel stereo controls. (There is no sunroof)

I've pulled the CARFAX myself ... Single owner/non-smoker/No Accidents and they have all the service records. They were asking $20.5, but since it's not exactly what we are looking for and they really need to sell it (been on the market for 4 months) they immediately said "How about $17K?" Again, I politely said that it wasn't the right color and was missing leather and a few other things ... "We can do $16K --- we just need to sell it!" was their reply.

It'll probably need new tires in the next 10K miles, but what do you think? I'm open to any/all opinions ... Please don't hold back. Thanks ... I love this site ... Can't wait to get one and start modifying it out!

A 2wd 4Runner is never a good deal!

Just kidding...if it suits your needs then I'm sure you'll be happy with it. But I've seen a lot of people regret the decision to get 2wd after their purchase, so make sure that you definitely don't want or need that 4wd before you pull the trigger!

I paid just under $20k for my '06 SR5 V6 4WD with 40,000 miles back in '08. It was a certified leaser with leather shift knob and steering wheel, stereo controls on the wheel, no blemishes - very clean. I would think $16k for a 2WD that's almost 5 yrs old might be a little steep in comparison - but then again if you see what other vehicles you could get with those miles and an '06 then the 4Runner looks like a good deal.

BTW - I bought mine in MA where you probably pay more compared to other states.
