2006 T4R LTD -Aftermarket XM Options

Hi all,

I purchased a used 2006 V8 Ltd 4runner with Navigation last weekend. The dealer agreed to install the kit necessary to have XM display through the nav screen. Unfortunately, I just got a call that Toyota discontinued that kit and the dealer would need to do an aftermarket option.

Are there any after market options to have the XM display on the Nav screen? If not, does anyone have a recommendation for a specific receiver to buy to use in the car?

Sparks Toyota has it in stock. Have your dealer get it from them.

MOST dealers refuse to do this. its an outside source, plus the mark out they would charge most likely will not be accepted by the customer. Also then the dealer has to install a product that was not ran through their building. Whether it be toyota labeled or not, they most times charge a "liability" fee.

But if they promised this with the sale of the truck, they may just do it to appease the buyer and rid of him.

Idk. I only knew sparks has it because I was just about to go the direction you're thinking of. But I ended up putting a double din in. The xm receiver is about $400 plus install. At that point, it was more logical having all new with more features.

4RS, Thanks for your help in locating the xm parts at Sparks!! My dealer ordered from them and installed in my 4R and it works great.
