2006 V-6 And V-8 Ratings

I was curious to know why toyota now rates their V-6 and V-8 engines lower than the previous year. 2005 V-6 was rated at 245hp 282trq and the V-8 was rated at 270hp and 330trq. What changed? would appreciate any feed back.

Same engines but all manufacturers have changed to the new SAE method of calculating the numbers.
