Hi,
I ordered a set of Denso fuel injector Remans from MotorWest.
I have a fuel smell coming from the front of the engine at idle and some smell in the cab. I haven't confirmed the cause - could be an exhaust manifold leak or something else I guess (suggestions?) - but I figured the most likely culprit is leaky a o-ring from an injector. When I smell in the engine bay, it's strongest right next to the part of the engine closest to the battery.
Almost 200k so I figured it may be worth doing an injector replacement to restore any flow related issues.
I haven't seen a good write up or video for a V8 4runner fuel injector DIY. I found a Tundra V8 DIY write-up that I assume should work.
However, I didn't see the procedure for draining the system. I need to pull a relay and try to start the vehicle till it runs out of gas?
Any full write-up or the drain procedure or helpful tips would be so helpful!
Thanks in advance -
