2007-2009 sport edition rack

I am planning to remove my 2005 roof rack and installed the 2009 ROUND SPORTS ROOF RACK.

How does this roof rack go on?
I dont see any bolt holes on outside. I see the bolt holes underneath it.

Do I need any additional trim pieces?

The end caps come off. If it did not come with them, you need special bolts from toyota. The regular ones will not work. The ones you need are a flat torx bolt. Also you will need a thread sealer or 3M strip caulk because if these are not used you will leak water into the cabin from unsealed bolts.

And save yourself some time and trouble by reading this. Installing the crossbars is direction-specific and backwards will get you serious wind noise.
