Ready for another 5K Basic Service: Oil change, rotate tires, inspect fluids - axle bolts -hoses - brakes......
The price is $69.99 + tax here in Mass. I know, seems pretty pricey.
I'm disabled and cannot change oil myself. I use to go to quick lube establishments when I had older vehicles but don't trust them on my 4runner from what I've read. Don't really want an 18 year old with 2 weeks experience doing this.
I feel stupid for paying this much, but seems independent garages are not a whole lot cheaper. About 30 bucks plus like 20 bucks for tire rotation.
Here's my question really: Only have about 3K miles driven since last oil change but it's been 6 months since my last change. Being disabled I do not drive all that much. Do you agree that I should change oil because it's been 6 months even though only 3K miles driven? I live in Mass and been a tough winter so I think it's time for a change regardless of miles driven.
Just another point if I may. I had major service done at 31K and it cost me $450! Yikes! But, I checked with independent garages that came highly recommended and they were no bargain either! A bit cheaper but only by about 50 dollars. Was a bit surprised. Seems prices are high across the board these days.
