I just finished reading the article.

Two points I want to bring to this thread.

One serious: Toyota is slamming in the market the hybrid technology and fuel efficient vehicles. I know many other companies are in similar paths but none seems to be as intensive as the campaign of Toyota.
If that initiative keeps the trust for a while, it is going to give Toyota the edge in that technology worldwide and the quality associated to the brand is going to leave everybody else and I mean everybody else behind.
Which is scary because competition is what keeps prices down.

Two, Visionaire: I see more and more technology associated to safety, that article mentions a computer with a camera that is looking at you... and controls the car if it sees you are checking the radio stations.
Whats next? someone tampering in wireless broadband and driving your car from home? laugh... give it what,10 years? Watch we will see cars driven by others not in the car.

In ten years you will go off roading in the 4R without leaving home. Non sense my friends... but is coming!!

They are going to need a truck load of LEDs for one car... unless the LED technology has improved.

Ya I wish they went into it more, not sure if they are using fiber optics with the LEDs, or some sort of new LED?

but I'm glad to see a production car coming out with it finally.
