I've got several questions, so thanks for humoring me:
What does HID stand for?
You have to add a switch inside to turn the lights on, right... what does that involve?
Are you headlights bluer or are your factory fog lamps and your new lights yellow?
I'm mainly interested in adding lights for when I'm driving in snow storms at night... that the best way to increase visibility?

HID stands for High Intensity Discharge. No need to add switch for the HID light kit. Cause they just replace your stock headlight bulbs. Hope can answer your question (cause I'm not an expert about it). Maybe other members here can tell you more detail.
Anyway if you want to get a set of HID kit. You can find them on Ebay. I got my set from thier about $80. And I might buy an other set(3000k) to replace my stock fog light too.

How is the quality on them compared to better known HID kits such as XenonDepot, or the ones Jason Burtman sells?

I didn't check my HID kit where it made from, but it work fine and no any problems so far. Sometime the CHEAP one doesn't mean they are bad quality, even they made in China or Malaysia, etc... Just like my EGR bug deflector I only paid $43 shipped new. And it look good to me. Compare with the OEM one cost $100+ it's too much.
I don't know the HID kits from XenonDepot, or the ones Jason Burtman sells how is their quality. Cause I never used before. And (I guess)they might made in China or Malaysia, etc... too. I really don't know.

Because 4th gen 4runners have a rake to them. About 1 inch. That's the reason why the nose looks so smashed. If you raise it n extra inch in the front than the back, it makes it more level looking, without the smooshed nose.
Spacer lifts like cornfed come in 1" front leveling kit, 2/1 spacer lift, and a 3/2 spacer lift.
Other companies make 2.5" front and some other different sizes, I think daystar does this.

I was just looking for the same one, took off the AVS one I had because it was scratching the paint.
Can't seem to find the EGR one
