2007 V6 Oil leak - help identifying

I am looking at a 2007 SR5 V6 4x4 to replace my 2wd. The one I am looking at has an oil leak somewhere around the power steering pump.

I searched forums - didn't come up with much. Do the 4.0's have any history of leaky power steering lines or is this a Valve Cover gasket leak. It was a bit tough to tell where it was coming from since it was fairly caked on there, so wanted to see if there are any known problem ares in this vacinity with the 4.0.

Mileage on the car is 49,500, it's from the south and has been fleet maintiend.

Typically it's the front timing cover leaking if its around the power steering pump area. I believe it's a known problem in any vehicle with the 4.0

Just had a similar leak fixed this weekend, it was diagnosed by the dealer as a front crank seal. $15 seal and some coolant + $120 labor, covered by warranty though.

It's not. I highly advise you use the search bar for front timing cover leak so you know what your getting into.

Ok maybe if its the valve cover he could replace them without trouble but if its the timing cover leaking at under 50k miles... I wouldn't buy. haha just saying.
