Just wanted to get some thougts about a 4 runner i am interested in purchasing. It is a 2008, installed options are the SR5 extra value package and the JBL stereo. It was the dealership loaner and it has 2,950 miles on it. It is is excellent condition. The last price the dealer wanted was 26,816. All the reasearch I have done points me to a lower price. Wanted to get some peoples thoughts. I think I should be able to get it for less. It is also certified which means less to me considering it is so new. Thanks for any input.

definitely lower, idk if its 4wd or v8 or what not but i got 24,500 drive out for one with 7 miles on it. so the extra value package is not worth 2,000 extra plus tax. mine is a regular sr5 2wd v6

Great shape or not, this vehicle is used! You ought to be hitting them for around $25,000. I bought my 07 Sport NEW for $28K. Hopefully if you have some cash to put down you can get some good bargaining going. At about $27K, this is probably around or a little less than what their wholesale price is from Toyota.

My last offer was 25000, they countered with the last price I quoted. KBB and NADA value the vehicle at 24,500 or so. I would probably pull the trigger at 25. I have 3.9 thru TFS but maybe I should look at new 08 with the 0.9% for 60 months unless I couldget it for 25 or less. The financing deals have about a week to go.

If you've found that 25,000 is fair, then stick to it. Just tell them 25,000 is your final offer. If they want to sell a car, they'll take it.

I just picked up a 2008 SR5, V6, 4X4, 26000 miles for 18,850 from a broker.
All the dealers around here were asking 24-25K for the 2005 and 2006 models w/18000 miles.
See what a broker can get you! No fees, no haggle, no hassle.
Get you own financing thru a credit union.

I got my 07 SR5 in Aug. of 2007 brand new for $25,100 before TTT. I had them add the leather seats and the 3rd row option and got it for $26,500 before TTT. So I think you can get a much lower price being that it has some miles on it and SUVs are not moving that much at all at the dealer ships due to the gas issues.
