Been meaning to ask about the caster adjustment.
I had the FJ coils and Adl Bilsteins installed(lifted to the first notch) then aligned. The mgr said the adjustment was at the limit of caster.
I assume that's causing the inability to maintain a straight line without constant minor correction. Thoughts? comments?

This is correct. Too little caster will cause twitchy steering at high speeds and high amounts of bump steer. I'm betting your caster at max with the stock upper control arms is only around 1* when it should be 2.5-4* (the higher the better). Your only option to get it back to spec without removing the lift would to buy aftermarket upper control arms.

OK , I was suspicious that new upper arms would be the hot ticket item but I am surprised that the small amt of lift caused the issue. Maybe I got more lift than I thought from the FJ 4x4 front springs,
Anyway, what would be a good example of uppers to buy and is this a DIY project?

I have the same setup and have zero issues with my alignment. Find a better shop.

let the tech know to set the caster to close to 3.
i have the same setup, stock uca. its at 2.9 2.8, if its those numbers, you are good.

1 recheck alignment
2 front shocks to lowest lift position
3 realign to see improvement
if not acceptable..........
4 get aftermarket upper control arms.

SPC and JBA are the cheapest UCA options. There’s a ton of adjustability in the SPC’s, the hard part is finding a tech that knows how to utilize them correctly and is willing to take the time to adjust them correctly. I run the SPC’s and they have been good to me.
