2008 4Runner SR5....looking for cl3 Hitch

Hello,

I'll just file this one into the "no idea what he's doing" list....many more of those to follow.

I'm looking to get a class 3 hitch for my 08 runner. I've looked under the chassis and it has an electrical outlet. Does that mean that there was a hitch installed prior? Or do they all come with that?

Secondly, should I just get the dealer to install me a factory one or are there any other models out there that are better and/or cheaper?

Appreciate all the info. Did a seach but couldn't really come up with anything for 4th Gen stuff...Cheers

I just saw some on ebay, item number 120317382436 for 99.00. Shipping is 50.00 though, you may be able to get one locally for cheaper. Dealer may be more expensive, try an RV dealer or UHaul, I had one put on my explorer for way less than the dealer by UHaul, and it did just fine. It was actually a Valley hitch, which is a leading MFR of hitches, with a UHaul decal on it.
