Ever since I changed my timing belt and such I have been super paranoid about any abnormal sounds or ticks from my engine. This noise has been bothering me and after searching I still feel paranoid ;( I am pretty sure the ticking is from the fuel injectors but I would like some input as to what you guys think.

Same normal engine sounds my '03 Tundra V8 always made...no worries. If you're curious about the source, get a mechanic's stethoscope and probe around the valve covers above each cylinder to listen for variations in mechanical noise. Then probe an injector or two and notice how much noisier they are...usually sound like artillery fire compared to normal valvetrain sounds.

normal.. you can try changing the fuel pressure regulator which also tends to make a tick noise when they get old..... its a 30 dollar part.. its right on top in the drivers side back corner of the engine..

its easy to do.. do it with engine cold as a small amount of fuel will come out.. also be very careful not to loose the washer seal on the fuel line.. remove old pressure regulator and replace with new.. reinstall line.. and you should be good. the part can be found on rock auto or amazon. its a 10 minute job.
