2008 4runner Vent Control Not Working

Just bought a 2008 V6 4runner from a dealer. Temp control works fine but it wont shift the air to the feet or windshield or feet/face only stays in the face mode. The light indicator works on the dial and the display shows the correct setting but the air doesnt change. It seems I can only shift the air to the feet if the heat is up to high. The A/C and other settings seem to work fine.

I noticed the problem when I drove it off the lot, I turned around and of course when the dealer got in the car it started working fine. Now it's not working again.

Any input is appreciated.

Sounds like the shutter doors/motors are going out, or you have an electrical short.

Can't really tell you how to fix those tho. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Also, I've noticed a clicking type noise coming from the glove box area when the it's set to feet or face/feet, from what I've read online it sounds like the blower motor or something similar needs to be replaced.
