2008 4Runner w/ new Sway A Way Coilovers

Ok, so I picked up a new to me, 2008 V8 4x4 on May 31st. About 3 months ago I replaced the front suspension with Sway A Way, 2" coilovers, 650x14 coils and 200 psi on the struts.

Upon install, they were a good bit higher than I wanted at the time, so I cranked them down as far as I could go. Ended up with about 2.5" of lift.

Now, the last few days, I've noticed I'm bottoming out on the suspension and spending too much time (for me) on my bumpstops even with just normal driving during my daily commute.

Are we looking at blown shocks here or has the suspension finally settled and now I need to take it back up??

No extra weight on 4Runner (no bumper or sliders). What am I missing here? We just had a cold snap here, took overnight temps down into the teens...

Quick pic of driver side lower A Arm. Yep, both sides look nearly identical.

Do you see any oil leaking from the shock?

As for hitting the bumps tops that isn't nessisarily a bad thing depending on what you were doing when it happened. My Fox coil overs would go thru all their travel when I would hit certain RR tracks fast. On one hand it means your using all the travel but again I don't know the conditions in which your hitting the bump stops. Many folks add the Wheelers pump stops and the spacers to make them longer, ie hit the bumps earlier. Do you feel a hard hit, or are your Sway-aways absorbing, but just going thru their travel?

2nd thought - You may have them cranked too low and not enough preload on them.

This ^

Put a full turn in each one last night, and the ride is improved already. No more harsh bottoming out and clunk. Might look into the progressive bumps from Wheelers. I need to order some other goodies from them anyway.

Also put some air in my tires too....they were getting a little low; damn cold weather.
