3.0L Diesel Would Be Perfect

Diesels are heavy and require heavier suspension and drivetrain parts so the 4Runner doesn't need anything as ridiculously overkill as a 6.6 liter diesel. A 3.0 liter diesel however would be practical and move the 4Runner just fine. I'd definitely buy one.

I'm thinking that once more automakers start putting small diesels in their light trucks/SUVs, Toyota will follow.

that 3.0 is a benz motor. they have used that for years in everthing from there trucks to there cars over seas .
