The 4-lo floor shifter is also gone... Everything is electronics now.

Next time you want a true 4WD toyota... you will have to go to the used car dealership.

I think I don't want more silicone nannies on a SUV, at lest not any more than in the 4R. I plan to keep the 4R until a diesel Toy makes it to the market. Even if I have to wait 20 years... The 4R will still be running.

PS. I hope they don't put a 5.7 DVVT Direct Injec. engine on the next 4R cause I may have to eat my words.

Gonna take a little getting used to. I see a "santa fe" mixture on the rear, a Suzuki suv (forgot the name) in the front, and an LS460 interior, and a 07 GS430 rims. But I do like the way the seats fold up, minimizing blind spots I would presume.

I certainly hope this isn't a trend to have all Toyota SUV's look the same (RAV4, Highlander, and now LX). I really hope the GX will not suffer the same fate.

Lots of off road gadgetry - but when was the last time an LX owner actually took their truck off road ? The most expensive vehicle I see off road is usually mine. Most are $500 beaters, not $80K luxury SUV's.

I used to take my old '98 on some light trails at Withlacoochee - broke my damn gator plate at this water crossing You're right though I've never seen any other LX's off-road.

It looks like it just has a light tint, look at the back windows, they look slightly darker than the fronts.

The back windows are tinted, it is just the way the light is hitting them. I saw the 2008 LX at the NY autoshow in the same color. The exterior looked alright in person, nothing special though. The interior is what really stands out in this truck! I will post my pictures as soon as I scale them down.
