2008 lifter tick?

i haven't heard of lifter tick since v-8's from the 80's, what gives?
v6 sr5, is it a tick or something else toyota needs to redesign, can i fix it with a $10 can of mystery liquid?

pull your plugs and check for oil, if there is oil on #6 then I have read some people needing Head Gasket replaced. Not too common I'm told but a good place to start.

My dealer just told me i have a recall on my fuel pressure dampner on my v6. I think it's making the ticking noise which would make sense. I haven't gone it to get the work done yet though... but there are a few threads on it here and one guy seems to have fixed it. From what I remember it was something external engine not a lifter since these are DOHC engines...
