2008 Toyota 4Runner 4WD Lift? Diff Drop?

Is it completely necessary to install a diff drop on my 4th Gen Runner? I've seen some that say yay and some who say nay. Want to get a fill for what the majority has to say here. Also, Have any of you used Supreme Suspensions? Looking to install there 3" Front x 2" Rear lift on my truck. Any thoughts, suggestions, or critics?

Have heard pros and cons both directions. I didn't and don't regret it. Not familiar with the suspension type you're referencing.

I have a 3" front 1.5" Rear Leveling/Lift Kit on my Chevy pickup. They're just spacers so other than they went on right and had all hardware necessary. It rides like a truck. Went with them cause they had what I wanted and was fairly priced.

If you offroad do the diff drop, if not then you'll probably be fine without it but I would personally do it just to have as small of an angle as possible on the CVs.

We just got a 4Runner for my wife Tuesday but I lifted my tundra a couple months ago. I went 2.75" on the front and it made a difference on the cv angles so I made the diff drop spacers and installed them. It put the angles close to stock. I'm sure in the long run your cv shafts will thank you if you go ahead and drop it. I never looked at a 4x4 4Runner but the tundra was 2 bolts, 2 spacers 1" thick, and I had to space my skid plate out 3/4". I would assume it would be close to the same.
