2009 Certified 4runner

I'm looking at a 2009 Certified 4runner with low miles (about 12K or so)...current listed at $32,900...any thoughts on an offer I should make? Seems like it should be slightly discounted with the new body style out, but I'm interested in the forum's take.

Thanks!

Good point...sorry about that. It is a V6 2WD. No Navigation, bluetooth or any of that. Has the normal Limited lineup...leather, sunroof, seat memory, jbl system.

Bump...

Any thoughts to what a fair offer would be for a car with this setup. Dealer is saying they can only get down to $32,250. I think despite the low miles and only being a 2009...I'm still getting a car that is not new and also has a completely redesigned successor on the road now. In the future I may be the only one holding the bag.

Would appreciate some thoughts.

I would also spend a little more and get the 5th gen; I would not pay what they are asking at all; Tell them you will give them $28 for it and see what they say

ditto....being as its 2wd and doesnt have any of the extras....32 is a bit much IMO

I just got my 09 SR5 V6 4WD for $26K. Doesn't have all the options, but it is also certified. Miles are high though 33K, but Carfax says its been on the road since Nov 2008, but I got 5 year/100K bumper to bumper too.

Not sure if you did this or not, but i would go online and print out some comps - all of a lesser price. Then go in and tell them your price if they dont like it whip out the closest comp and say you will go right now and buy it. worked for me - i also had a copy of a chat i had with someone on their internet team who offered me a price that "wasn't available" apparently. When i whipped out the print out of the chat, the managers all had a look and had to agree to it. Maybe i was lucky... good luck. (i would try and get this one down in price (its probably a lease or rental with that many miles in 1 year? doesnt hurt to point that out if that is the case), if that doesnt work go for a 5th gen. If you are financing the New 5th gen will be at a very low apr and probably works out the same in overall price as the pre owned which will probably be at a higher apr.)

$32,9? Sweet baby Jesus! I bought my nicely optioned '08 V8 SR5 4WD for $34K out the door.

Yeah, too pricey. At the first of the year I got an 08 Urban Runner (sweet ass package) with 20k miles for 25,000. I had to pay about 1000 to get it shipped but it was a pretty good deal. You can find a good deal just keep looking. Also, be firm in what you want to spend and wait till you find what YOU want.

price too high for what it has, no 4wd,no nav. etc., if they cant come down to 28 like one of the other guys said, look somewhere else.

Yeah i agree that price is WAY too high! A 2wd V6?! I wouldnt pay more than $25k and itd have to have everything i wanted in a ride! I looked for
well over a month for my 03 T4R SE V8, and they wanted $26k. They got $20k from me. Only 16k miles. Love it!! DO NOT SETTLE!!!

My opinion if you are going with a 4th gen than get the V8...and I would personally never own a non-4wd 4Runner, the 4wd is so good in these vehicles--too good to live without.

Look around before you spend that much...Got my 07 4x4 V8 Limited with 17k miles for 29k last year...

Update

Thanks for all of the feedback and comments. So far...no dice on the 09. Offered $25K on an 08 with 11k yesterday and received a "WOW, we paid to much for it. Good luck" back from the dealer.

Still trudging away...no rush.
