You could get a temporary permit to drive it but you wouldn't be able to legally title it since it doesn't meet DOT regulations in the US.

Yeah no go, only way you could get it titled is illegal, or to know someone up high in the state, and even so thats not exactly legitimate. What a POS for $40k, thats a $20k truck, its the most basic model.

You read the description of it and their trying to pass it off as that is the truck the Top Gear UK used. That price is way to high.

I do like how they riveted all the emblems to the body so nobody can swipe them from the truck!!

If only the diesel was available here in the states.. :dammit:

:iagree:I'd love to have it but even the Hilux's we use deployed have more options than this. I'm all for a bad a$$ little Toyota pickup with a diesel and no power options just a strictly off road truck, but that aint it for $40K! $hit, I'll do 10G's, maybe.

For me, I'd rather have a base model 2009 Hilux over the top model 2009 Tacoma, but that's just me. I really like the manual transmission with the manual 4WD shift lever over the electronic dial on the dash. However, I wouldn't pay that price for it though. Wonder why the auction was pulled though.
