I need some input from all of you with regards to the possible purchase of a 2009 V8 Four Runner LTD. I already have a 2004 and I love it! We need to get a second dependable vehicle and we found a 2009 up for takes. I was doing some quick research about "known" issues and discovered that there seems to be an issue with "transmission lag" that has been described by some owners on this forum as well as on other sites on the net.
I need to know if the problem is one that is common to all owners? or is it sporadic? Has a flash update been released in the last 4 years and has it been successful? Are their any other issues besides cracking leather and squeaky driver seats? ( I am not all too concerned about this…I just want the rockstar reliability)
I cannot test drive the vehicle, it will be bought through a dealer and I have no way of getting boots on the ground to do anything!
