This video is a little confusing. It starts withe a TE that is all banged up or has had the lights removed etc. Then ends with a TE looking ok. It looks like it gets pretty beat up when it's show driving.

That is a pre-production vehicle with the disguise paint and parts so you can't REALLY tell what the final production unit will look like. I'm surprised that it has the Toyota badge on it. Also when you don't care how the vehicle looks after you run a trail, you can thrash it and someone else will fix it or they will just crush it. These vehicles are just test beds.

There are a whole series of videos somewhere about this. They took the preproduction 5th Gen through the rubicon and ran baja, with it pretty much stock and all the same truck. Then if I remember correctly it go rolled sometime.
