2010 audi a4

does anyone have a 2009-2011 A4? I'm looking at one now (not to replace the 4runner), and I'd love to hear some feedback on it. This is is a 2010, so it's a 2.0T (6 speed manual) , but it has the Statis Engineering touring package (ecu, suspension, wheels).....it's really nice.

I have a 2011 Audi A5. It's a fantastic car. Mine is the 2.0T with 6MT.

What exactly do you want to know?

any issues/complaints? have you heard anything about the Statis upgrades? It supposedly puts out 260hp and 305 lb/ft of torque.

No issues or complaints. Car has been perfect so far. The Statis upgrades (or APR, etc...) are decent for these cars. Turbo cars are easy to tune and get a lot of power out of because the boost level is increased substantially. Even stock, the car feels a lot faster than it should because it makes a lot of torque down low. In fact, the peak torque goes from just 1500 RPM to 4500 RPM, holding at the maximum the entire time. If you've ever driven an A4/A5 with this engine, you know exactly what I mean. That's especially true if you've driven the 6MT version.

I've owned similar cars before (even an M3) and I like my A5 the best. It's simply the best all-around car I've ever owned.

I would watch out on 2.0t, i know it had mutiple teething problems, i know my sisters (07 A4 2.0t auto) would eat a quart of oil every 2k miles or even sooner, and it was the proper oil and only 20k on the motor, i have heard others have the same issue, i dont know if they fixed it but im gonna go out on a limb and say VW didnt engineee that motor as well as they did the 1.8t...

Your sister's car is a B7. Totally different engine from the B8, which has been in the A4 since 2009.

You're outta your league junior. It's not the same motor. It's very much different. But I know that you think you're some kind of know-it-all, so lets just leave it at that.

Just because two engines share 2.0L of displacement does not make them the same engine.

Stick to talking about old Land Rovers.

thanks for the info. I'm trying to find out how the statis suspension rides and where i can find the exact standard features on the premium plus vs. the prestige. The ford dealer selling it doesn't seem to know and I really think it's a prestige.

I honestly couldn't tell you how the Stasis suspension rides on the A4 or the A5 for that matter. I can tell you this-- my A5 has the Sports package, which includes the 19" wheels and 255/35 tires. The wheels/tires are the same exact size as the S5 and the A5 S-Line models, and the suspension tuning is also identical. The ride is firm, but refined. It's not harsh at all. My old M3 was very harsh in comparison.

The non-sports package A5 comes with 18" wheels and a softer tuned suspension. I've driven one and it makes the car feel more like a regular car then a sports coupe/sedan. I'd even say it rides more like a Honda Accord. In comparison, my car feels like it has much sharper reflexes and like it's more glued to the road. It's really a fantastic balance of ride comfort and handling.

The A4 suspension is tuned less aggressively than the A5. The sports package on the A4 gets you 18" wheels and a fairly mild suspension. So if I had to guess, the A4 Stasis suspension is probably more in line with the A5 Sport suspension. Although it may be a bit more extreme. You should definitely drive the car to get a feel for it and see how much you like it.

I didn't really mean to pick on him, but I don't feel like getting into a big debate about Audi engines on a 4Runner forum. I'll just suggest that he join one of the Audi forums and try to tell those guys how the B7 and B8 engines are basically the same thing.

I do see your correct but it took a bit of searching to find that, i know vw changes the engines around while keeping the same displacement, i was pretty confident they did not on this motor. And you should reassess the way you talk to people, especially one who is a fellow 4runner and VW group enthusiast, i am not a know it all, i like to learn about volkswagens and i tinker on my fathers. You are so quick to make judgements, if you read what you wrote to me you would see that you act like a condesending d!ckwhad.

My wife drives a 2010 a4 Avant 2.0T. The car drives great - nice handling, excellent AWD performance in the rain and it has a very comfortable, luxurious feel, in terms of ride and smoothness.

The interior is beautifully made, with expensive feeling materials and excellent finishing. That said, I've had a number of interior pieces break, including the buttons for the seat memory, visor retainer and door lock/unlock. This has been the biggest disappointment - I've never had a new car do this and it makes me question the build quality. We haven't had anything major happen, though, so that's good. Our friend has an A5 and the thing is constantly in the shop - with major engine problems.

Beautiful cars, but this will be our last Audi.
