I'm guessing that the Canadian 4Runners all come with running boards? The Limited that <a href="http://www.auto123.com/en/multimedia/photos/gallery/2010-toyota-4runner-overview?bid=111720&binding=3">Auto123 tested</a> also had running boards.

thanks for the really detailed pics. and the date, now i have something to look forward to :D

glad i put my deposit down in august, hopefully that means i'll be ahead of the game :D

Sorry to rain in on the parade guys...but I think Toyota Canada has chickened out of putting full time 4wd on all 4runners. If you look at one of the interior pics, you'll see the same 2-speed transfer case as in the auto FJ's.

Also, I found this article in the Toronto Star saying full-time 4wd is only available in the Limited trim...
Wheels.ca

So jca, if you put down your deposit expecting to have the same 4wd system as the 4th gen, make sure you check this matter out before going through with the purchase.

This really sucks if it were true...:(

nope, i put the down on it fully knowing that it wont be a full-time 4wd system. the two speed transfer case style is actually what i prefer.

Nope this is not true its not going to be full time 4WD

No leather steering wheel in the Trail edition I guess... That's kind of lame for a vehicle of that cost. The radio looks like it would be a pain to replace.

I like the looks of it though but running boards look out of place on it.

That's strange. If it's true that the full time 4WD will not be available across all Canadian models it means:

1.) The original Canadian press release introducing the 2010 was inaccurate.

2.) That the email I received from Toyota confirming that all Canadian models would have full time 4WD was inaccurate.

3.) The two (2) Toyota reps that I spoke with regarding this specific issue and whether this would be expanded to the US market were wrong.

I think that's a pretty big error. Actually, I think that is a huge set of errors, inaccuracies and mistakes on behalf of Toyota in communicating to the public what is available on the 2010 5th Gen 4Runners. This wasn't information released during pre-production subject to change---this was information released during delivery to dealers. It looks like Toyota has made a serious misrepresentation to its customers and potential customers (again).

On my test drive of all three models the other day, that cheap plastic steering wheel with the very poorly finished molding part line, is inexcusable. Sub 10k KIA's have a better finish on their steering wheels.

It makes me very disappointed to see such low-rent fit and finish on what should be a nicely built vehicle. :(

I got some pictures that I took of Canadian SR5 with the leather option . Will be posting pictures in few hours.
This one really looks good. :)

it looks like the canadian SR5 has the fender panels from the U.S. Trail Edition (but with a color-keyed "fat lip" front bumper)?
interesting…
