I am in negotiations for my first T4r and really new first new car in a long time and I have a question about ext warr.....

I see all the information about pricing but my question is are they needed as in do they cover more than the factory 3/36...If not why would I not wait until monthe 35 or mile 35 to purchase?

They do not cover more than the factory in terms of the 4R. They do cover things like a hotel stay if you break down out of town, but I do not if you can use that before the factory ones ends or if you have to wait until after the 36k. I was told they become more expensive to purchases as the 4R get older and the miles increase. The cheapest is to buy at the time of, or soon after, purchase.
