Looks good. I'm not really digging the Halloween colors though. Is this a concept or are they going to start manufacturing it?

Definitley concept but depending on how the economy works out here in a year or two it could start manufacturing and hopefully it does.

Wait just a second it may not be a concept!!!

"According to the industry publication, Bob Carter, Toyota's group vice president and general manager, has confirmed that "There are plans (for a new 4Runner)," although the automaker isn't saying when the replacement model will arrive. For its part, Ward's, which maintains extensive product-cycle forecast data, says that it expects a new model for the 2010 model year, which is a bit surprising considering that we have yet to see any spy shots of prototypes." -Motor Trend.com

This was a car that some group made for Toyota to showcase at SEMA or whatever that show was. I don't think it's a concept.

Yes, this vehicle is not a concept and has no chance of ever becoming a reality.
It was created a few years back for SEMA. This post should really be removed from the 5th gen. section as it does not pertain to the upcoming vehicle.

I like it and being a Gator fan I actually like the orange color too :D I don't like the side opening rear hatch though - I've got that on my GX and the one on the T4R is much better.

the orange is pretty sweet but i really like how they blended the two suv's together. Also if you want an fj with better vision than its a good buy

Nope, I wouldn't buy it. I don't like the styling and I really don't like side-hinged rear doors. I much prefer a traditional hatch or tailgate.

Like others said, it was a 4Runner with an FJ front end graft done for SEMA by a third party customizer for Toyota.

wheels

if toyota would manufacture those wheels i would most definitley buy them they are sick on whats looks to be **** cepek crushers.

I LIKE IT!!!!

If Toyota would combine elements of both the T4R and FJ and thereby producing only one model (FJ Runner) I think it would be fantastic.

2 Door, 4 Door, 2WD, 4WD, Manual, Auto, HiPo V6, I4, lotsa colors - keep the choices and uniqueness so you do not see one every couple of miles (as you seem to do now with the 4th Gen).

As I look at the pics of this concept, I wonder - is it a 2 Dr (I see no door handle on the rear cut-out door) OR is it a suicide door (i.e. FJ or RX-8) <----that would be VERY cool.

However, I wonder how many swings it would take for that rear hinge door to begin to sag??? That looks HUGE.

Just my $.02

Matt
