There are differences with the 2010's that will require modification. I found this info posted by X6RUNNER in this thread. He did the swap into his v8 4runner and gained ~2" lift front, but this was also on a 2wd. I think he got more lift in the front strictly because his is 2wd, but it is possible more lift is provided with the 2010 setup than the previous models. I've not seen anything to confirm that, just a possibility. He's not he first 2wd I've seen get close to 2" of lift from a FJ swap, so I'm thinking that's it.
OK, that said, here's what you're really looking for, it describes the actual modifications needed.
Warning: The 2010 front FJC strut's lower joint needs to be modified in order to fit your TR4.
The rear mounting hole (on the chasis) also need to be enlarged to fit the larger bushing washer. It can be done with some power tools.
I think I will stick with the previous years springs... Too bad though since i found some shocks and springs with only 900 miles... Oh well. The hunt continues!!
i went with 2010 fj trd suspension set up on my 2005 v8 runner. it was like chinese torture i was under the impression it was easy but the front was just a massacre i even put 1/4 toytec spacers. I don't recomend doing it if your inexperieced. The good news is it gave me a 2 inch lift but the front sits a tad bit higher which i hate. all in all i'll never do it again.
