2010 Platinum??

I stopped by the dealership yesterday for the TSB addressing the lag/acceleration issue on the early 2010's. I spoke to the internet rep about wanting to eventually upgrade from an SR5 to a Limited (used). She told me about a lady that recently purchased a 4Runner Platinum. I thought she might have been confused with the Sequoia, but she said that the lady was looking to trade her 4Runner in for a Sequoia. She said the Platinum is very rare and is priced in the upper $40's.

Has anyone seen a Platinum 4Runner??

I don't believe so.

Maybe referring to the Platinum extended warranty? Google came up with this:

Toyota Platinum Service Plan - 8 years - 125,000 miles

Some dealerships make their own "Special Edition" ones.

One dealership I went to had a Tacoma with a lift, winch, big old wheels/tires and a bunch of other offroad stuff on their showroom floor. They called it the Texas Trail Edition Tacoma.

My GF saw a white 2010 4Runner around here that was a "Lucchese Edition"It had special leather/intereior and a different tires/wheels with " Lucchese Edition" written in script on the side.

I thought she was joking until I googled "Lucchese Toyota" and found some other Toyota trucks had it too.Being from back east I thought it was the mafia version with bullet proof glass til I found out Luccese is a Texas boot company name. lol

She said it was legit, and I kept questioning it as the only Platinum's I have seen are Sequoia’s. She said it is decked out (DVD, headrest screens, etc). I will believe it when I see it.

I saw a Lucchese Tundra while getting my old changed last. It had alligator trim pieces..... lol

I've only seen Platinum Sequoias.

my wife and I purchased a Sequia with the LUCCHESE edition. the original sticker back in 2005 was listed at 52,000.00. We bought the suv a year ago with 52k on the motor for 19,000.00. we were looking to buy a platinum edition and yes they do have them but I didnt feel like spending 50k on a car.
