2010+ TRD Supercharger

Decided to stop by the Mungunson HQ here in Ventura.

1) they will not be giving final numbers till the product is released.

2) it has been on the road for the test drive for several thousand miles now without issue.

3)They have been taking it for stop and go traffic, long haul highway drives and though different elevations (it will be at FJ summit this month).

4) They will be putting up one kit for now meaning one option for pulley size but will look into adding the option of different sizes before release.

5) All of their research is based off of California emission and that seems to quite a limiting factor.

6) each unit sold will require your VIN to be given to register. ( you can't smog it without this happening)

7) they have place a limited number of units for a first round sale. It sounds like it will be a test to see if there is value in them producing it.

8) Generally the public will find out before the sales team, when the product is released. The only send out E news letter when they release a new product and this letters are sent out on Fridays.

9) It is with in a couple to a Few weeks from product sale. I asked if it was a couple months out and she kinda laughed when telling me that it's going to be weeks.

That is all the Info I have for now but was asked to keep open communication with Cindy through Email.

Dang it, I'm not making it to FJ summit this year.

Someone going please take some pics of the heat exchanger up front... Measurements and installed location would be very useful to see.

Also, anyone who happens to be there and see it...try to see where things mount and things that might typically sit in spots that aftermarket components could exist (second battery, on-boar air....).

Most of the kit replaces the intake and sits on top of the motor, but there are things that could create interfere like aftermarket bumpers....

I'll be at Summit...wonder if they'll give rides!?

As soon as one of you Summit attendees gets some poop, you should start a new thread, as the title of this one is wrong - then ask 1E to close this one.

I wonder who'll be the first T4R member-owner?

Magnuson: What kind of power gains are you hoping to see from the new #4Runner supercharger we just built?

"I just would be happy with being able to drive up hills again :first:"

It would be nice to not have to manually downshift to 3rd while going up I-70W to the mountains.
If they can keep the cost around $3k, I will be getting this. My fear is it will be closer to $7k+

Looks like you won't be getting one. :rain:
