I'm new to this forum and got a 2011 SR5 a couple of months ago. I want to know if anyone else has experience problems with the driver's side lumbar support. When you put normal pressure on it with your lower back, there's a "clicking" sound like if the air bladder is out of place. I can hear it AND feel it to the point of it becoming annoying after a while.
I took the car to the dealership (I live in Palm Springs, California and go to Toyota of the Desert) and they told me that my car had to be checked by the district manager. I made the appointment and dropped the car. Four hours later the service manager called me and informed me that the district manager supposedly checked other 4Runners in the lot and that this is considered "normal".
I filed a claim with Toyota Headquarters and got a case number. They told me that the district manager is the "last word" but that if they find other customers with the same complain and they eventually consider this worth a recall, that they will contact me.
I just can't believe that this could be "normal"! It is very noticeable even by those traveling on the passenger side of my car!
Any feedback?
