2011 Floor Liners - New Discussion Husky vs. WeatherTech

Hey guys, I looked at the previous discussion about the Husky vs. WeaterTech mats, looked a bit outdated, however, the chasis should be about the same. The pictures were helpful, just wondering if my assumptions are correct....

The Husky mats have a more rubbery look to them.
The WeaterTeah mats have a more 'hard plastic' look to them.
The WT Digital series offers the best protection / water holding.
The Husky Heavy Duty mats have deep ridges but do not have side walls.
The best place to buy / lowest prices are via autoanything.com

Can anyone confirm or correct me? Also interested if anyone has any updates based on 2011 model.

I just put the WT digitals in my 2011 4runner.

The fit is absolutely perfect. It is almost like having a pan to catch water, melted ice and snow,etc.

I guess you could call them "plastic like", in that they are very, very rigid. IMO this is a good thing as they wont flex all over the place and drop crud when you remove them for cleaning.

No regrets here. Oh wait..I do have one regret. I didn't order any for the back seat.

Thanks so much, I really am liking the WT mats, I like the hard plastic look better than that rubbery look, but I haven't found a great up to date picture of the Husky ones. They are both great mats, just trying to get folks opinons so appreciate it!

I have always had WTs on my cars until my T4R. I have Huskys on mine. Personally, I like the Huskys better and they fit perfectly too. They are thicker and better quality than the WTs, IMO.

I purchased the WeaterTech Digital series about a month ago for both my personel trucks. Perfect fit. I have also had Husky in the past and they server the purpose at the time. I purchased my WT from their web site and received free shipping because I ordered front and back. That said yesterday I was looking for a set for my company truck and husky has come out with a simular set that mimics the WT digital fit. Side by side I like the WT but for my company truck the Huskys will do and slightly cheaper.

I have the Husky Liners in my '10 TE. Agree with luv2eat - the Husky fit is perfect. I have no experience with WT to compare, but have no regrets with the Huskys. In response to your question regarding price, I checked around prior to purchasing the Huskys and autoanything.com had the best price at that time. Quick and seamless service.

Just put my Husky Weatherbeaters in and compared to my buddys WT digis side by side; both T4Rs. Husky have bigger lip and have a more rubberized feel and look. WT are hard and buddy complained of some slipping while shoes are wet. Huskys are cheaper at $178 for front, rear and cargo and WT were 223+tax for equivalent. Husky took a couple of days to mold since it was so cold but now they are seemless and WT went right in for him. We both have limited black interiors and the Huskys look better unless you like your floormats to standout because of the shininess of the hard plastic.
Basically it will come down to price, feel and look since they both have lifetime warranties and cover about the same amount of carpet. Just got 20 inches of snow here in Colorado and mats soaked it up and feet didn't slip. Couldn't be happier about my Huskys.

Do tyour buddies WT (harder molding) scuff up very bad? I like the rubber feel for non-slip, but over time, I noticed my rubber ones show dirt pretty good....

Also curious if anyone has tan interior, and what color mats you liked with it? I will have tan interior seats, but graphite carpet....should I get Tan mats or Black? I'm leaning Tan, but it's hard to picture....

I like the look of the Husky Weatherbeater’s and will probably order them for front and back floors. I noticed they have an option for cargo floor cover with the sliding cargo deck. I am wondering if anyone has this and what it looks like.

Also where are people picking up these husky liners for the best price?

The Huskys are molded hard plastic just like the WTs but more rubberized. Scuffs did show more on the WTs since they are a darker shade. The tan color might not be as bad though.

Here's a picture of tan WTs in my wife's SUV. WTs are harder, thinner, and more "plasticy". From my experience, the WTs seem to be a more slippery when wet.

I like how the Husky's rear floor liners tuck under the bottom of the front seats a bit better then the WT's

Yeah, just gave WT a call, they def get some feedback that the 'Tan' ones are more of a brown - just thought I would let you guys know! Thanks so much for the picture above, that's helpful - Maybe I should just go with Black ones? I don't know I'm being picky haha! but for $300 I guess rightly so....

DO you have a sliding tray in your 4runner? How does the cargo liner fit?
