"As Odyssey customers ourselves, we know the importance of being able to identify your vehicle in a sea of minivans and SUVs in parking lots. So, we gave it a signature "lightning bolt design" for a distinctive and fresh modern look.

Our team originally called this "100 meter styling" because we wanted a strong styling statement that will make it easy for our customers to find their Odyssey in a crowded parking lot, even from 100 meters away."

Well, Aztec owners can say the same thing too. :D
 
OMFG, that's the biproduct when the Accord Crosstour and Insight mate and have offsprings.

The only thing that looks remotely decent is the front end, but it stops with the fenders. The lights and grille are still way too big. The rear quarter panel (behind the sliding door) looks like they took it right off the Mercedes R Class and it came out of Monster Garage. WTH did they dip the rear window? It's hideous.

The only thing in the Odyssey that might beat the Sienna is the 8th seat (middle seat in the second row) and the HDMI port. It appears wider and bigger than the Sienna's, probably more comfortable. If I were to buy a Sienna, I would only get the seven passenger model. I hate that 8th seat. But if I need HDMI quality, I rather be in my home theather enjoying it than in the minivan.

Honda has lost it's design skills since the early 2000's and it's latest redesigns further confirms that.

The second and third gen Odyssey looked good for a minivan, but this fourth gen is just terrible. Sienna for the win!

I guess that the HDMI is nice if you play family pictures or movies from the new cameras (with HDMI) in the van. I guess that you can also connect your laptop (via HDMI) and play blu-ray movies (if laptop has BD player). But then again, with the screen resolution, you might as well get regular DVDs.

I agree...the current gen is the best looking. The new Sienna looks good too.
 
absolutely refuse to buy a minivan. sienna is the ugliest, or so i thought after looking at this. :toilet:

Wait until you have a bunch of kids...minivans then become the best utility vehicle ever! :)

I have 2 toddlers 16 months apart...my Sienna provides something that no SUV can. My wife will be in the 3rd row seat (roomy & comfy for longterm sitting)...she then looks after my two toddlers in their fullsize carseat in the 2nd row. She feeds them, cleans them, & plays "judge". At the same time, i can have two large strollers in the cargo area along with other cargo (shopping stuff, etc.). If a toy is dropped, she can walk to the 2nd row and pick it up. There isn't a SUV that can do what a minivan does. And my Sienna has everything that most Lexus has...HIDs (one of the best headlights i have ever used), memory seats, dynamic laser cruise, powerfolding side mirrors, and all powered doors. (The new Sienna Limited has a few more toys too!) As a few on this forum has laughed, my Sienna is my most valuable car in our garage. Hell, i even sold my Mercedes instead of my Sienna! :D
 
:lol: to say the least...

The Sienna is probably one of Toyota's best looking redesign in the last few years. The rest of them, Lexus and Scion models included, the redesigns are mediocre at best. The 5th gen LS being the exception. But what good is looks, if the heart of the beast (the engine) in the king of hill is flawed. It's for another thread all together, but Toyota seriously needs to reevaluate their organization and operations from top to bottom.

But on the other hand when you got redesigns like those of Honda, then certainly, even Toyota's mediocre designs look great.

To each and his own.
