I know. as soon as I posted it, I went back and edited it. didn't expect the yellow to be this yellow

Well, I picked the monstrosity up last night.

this will take time to get used to.. No more rapid acceleration, and lane jumps or heavy launches for me :(

the amount of space under hood and in the salon had me nearly weep, though. lol

i realize we all know how the stock sr5 looks like, but since I am hoping to make this thread into a build list... here is what i'm starting from:

I thought the same thing at first (coming from a Supercharged '01) but once the engine breaks in a bit, the acceleration improves and the truck actually has a nice pep to it. Go ahead and add the TRD CAI to your list, IMO you won't be sorry! Seems like it helps acceleration above 3000 rpms.
Congrats on the purchase!

I would think you should be close. I have 3500 on mine and it feels completely different to me. To be honest though, I may have just learned how it handled and adjusted the way I drive. Or a combination of both...

Either way, I have a lead foot and really lay into the gas pedal.

So, gassed up last night.. i'm at 250miles on odo, and my mpg counted 21.3mpg..

I am VERY pleased with this truck. Matter of fact, I just can't stop saying how much I enjoy it! hah.

In other news.. can someone tell me how are the chrome pieces on bumpers are held up? Are there any push pins? snap locks? I want to get rid of that chrome, and none of the threads I looked at are discussing this part..

About how long is the break in? Just wondering. I;ve had mine for a month now, 2200 miles.

Break in :wtf:? Oh sh!t, I've had mine maybe 6 weeks now, 1900miles, and was in the tank at 80mph driving it home first day from the stealership. :lookout:

Nice looking 4Runner OP! :thumb3:
