Just bought these off of ebay. rear fj springs and front strut assembly off a 2012 with 12,000 miles. Now the fun part. What, if any mods will I need to make this work with my 2004 SR5?

I had seen this. Thanks for brininging it back to me for reference. A wealth of info!! So, it looks like Billisten 5100 adjustable struts with the FJ spring swap is in my future. Since I dont own a mill shop. My main concern is that the rear springs will work. which it seems it will. I am excited to see a stiffer 4 runner with a bit of lift. I would plan on using the 5100's at the 1st lift setting .885 lift?? I have a 2" spacer currently in the front. To keep her level I should provide the rear with a 1 1/2 inch spacer also?? The rear fj springs will provide a 1/2 inch lift?? I have read the history. just like to get that ol atta boy... Your expertise is welcome...

That will not be a problem. I paid for them today. They are coming from Colorado so I should get them this week... 118.80 all inclusive cost...

Folks here have been able to get the shocks to fit just by using an angle grinder on the lower mount. I just like that thread because it has number to show how they are different rather than just saying they are different.
The springs (front and rear) will work regardless. The only difference is the size of the mounts on the shock. The 2012 coils will work with your stock shocks or 5100's made for the 4runner.
Lift height is up to you. Do you want it higher or just maintain current height? Is your 4runner v6 or v8, and 4wd or 2wd? This makes a difference on how much lift the front FJ coils will give you.

Ark swamp rider thanks for the reply. That is great to know. That will be my best option. Just make the mount a tad bit larger. I have a v6 4wd and is lifted in the front now @ 2 inches via spacer. So, from my previous readings I can only lift 1 more inch in the front before Im making other adjustments or upgrades. If the fj coils in front and rear give me a universal 1/2 to 1 inch lift I will be where Im hoping to be. maybe a small spacer in the rear? Suggestions?
