2012 SR5 Radio display shorts out

I have a 2012 T4R, my radio display seems to short out at random times. If I tap the display it will also shut off and come back on 5 or 6 seconds later.

Anyone had a problem with the radio display shorting out? This is XM only no NAV.

My 2010 does the same thing. No nav. I'll click on one of the saved station buttons and it'll shutoff. I just got my 4r about 2 months ago. Figured previous owner must've messed it up.

I have a 2010 SR5, my radio unit is the non-navigation and I believe it's Part Number: 86120-35370.

I was experiencing the same issues when it was very cold out and now today my sound output just went dead. I can see the stereo is playing a CD, FM, or AUX but no sound comes out of the speakers. I was able to verify the speakers are still working using the phone bluetooth unit.

***Side note** not sure if it's related but the aftermarket remote starter that came with the car stopped working a few months ago. I never bothered to fix it.

Has anyone else had this issue with the stock stereo? Any recommendations on where to start looking? I have very little car electronics knowledge but would prefer to get through the basic troubleshooting before paying someone.

I decided to follow up with my findings for anyone else having an issue with a Non-JBL Non-Navigation factory stereo.

I discovered the issue was something to do with the factory BluLogic Bluetooth unit. I removed the unit plugged everything back in and my stereo began working again as well as the remote starter.

Still not sure how Bluetooth could interfere with the remote starter....but it happened.
