If you are going to the FJ Summit in Ouray Colorado this year be sure to stop by and say hello. Metal-tech 4x4 will be there with our FJ Cruiser, but also we be showing off the new Gen. V 4Runner we have built.

2012 4th annual Friday night Metal-tech 4x4 / Total Chaos Fabrication party!

July 20th Friday night party brought to you by Metal-tech 4x4 and Total Chaos Fabrication! For the first time at the FJC Summit Total Chaos Fabrication will be there. Matt and Nicole owners of Total Chaos will be boots on the ground at the party Friday night. This is a rare opportunity to meet and talk with the foremost Toyota suspension experts in person and perhaps see one of the Total Chaos Fabrication race trucks.

Free local Colorado beer and Metal-tech 4x4 pint glasses for everyone, why supplies last. This year’s MT pint is red in honor of the 2012 TT. Free soda for the non-beer drinkers as this is a family friendly party.

Debuting this year: FJ Cruiser Trivia contest! Put a team together of 3-5 people and be one of five (5) teams to compete in a fun 30 min bar style trivia contest for prizes. i.e. “Name all the 2007 colors the FJ Cruiser came in”. Crowd participation prizes too! How to sign up in coming thread.​

PRIZES! Get a chance to win some cool Metal-tech 4x4 and Total Chaos prizes throughout the night (NOT JUST for Trivia participants). Famed off road trainer Bill Burke sent us a stash of prizes from his off road driving training company 4-Wheeling America. Someone will win some items Bill received in 2006 when he and Joe Bacal (Toyota off road racer) took the first group of media across the Rubicon trail. There is a 2006 Trail Teams sicker (one) in there I have never seen among other cool Toyota Trail Teams items we will be giving away.

Starting at 7:30 PM at the Historic Ouray Saloon, 206 7th Ave. Ouray Colorado. Friday July 20th. This is an amazing building in US history, right out of the old West. (The oldest wooden 3 story building West of the Mississippi)

Last year we set a record with the number of people who came out. (Like 300+) We listened to concerns on how long the lines were so we have changed the format a bit this year. We will have two kegs of beer located on opposite corners of the patio. This way no need to wait in line to get to the bar.

We are also starting an hour later this year (Starting at 7:30 PM) giving everyone a change to grab dinner in town OR at the Saloon where the party is. (Rosemary the owner is an amazing cook and will have some dinner specials that night in their dining room and bar. Easy way to get a table early too!) This year there will be appetizer specials for purchase (again back to Rosemary's amazing food).

Soda for the non beer drinkers is free and will be at the bar, just go up and ask.

The bar is also a full no host bar so they will also have drinks on special as well as just about anything else you wish.


NOTE: YOU WILL NEED YOUR Summit badge to get a free pint glass why they last. Kids are very much welcome and they also get a pint glass (My kids favorite glasses at home) regardless of having a badge. When we run out, they are gone.

FJ Cruiser Trivia contest Friday night at the Metal-tech 4x4 / Total Chaos Fabrication party

This year at the Metal-tech 4x4 / Total Chaos Fabrication party we will be hosting a trivia contest during the party from 8PM to 8:30PM. Up to 5 teams are welcome to sign up, with 3-5 people on each team. This will be bar style trivia where your team debates what the best answer is then writes it on a small white board. The Crowd then gets to answer (and some people watching will win prizes as well for participating) Teams then turn over their white boards showing their answers and earn points. Points will go up as the difficulty of the questions increases. Prizes for the winning team!

FOR EXAMPLE a good question would be “Name all the original colors the FJ Cruiser came in”

All the questions will be about the FJ Cruiser, FJ Summit, Toyota 4x4’s and off road driving. No you do not need to know: “how fast can an unladen swallow fly” , this will be all fun general stuff about our trucks and Toyota 4x4’s.

How to sign up to compete!

1. Put a team of 3-5 people together.
2. Name your team
3. Submit an e-mail to [email protected] with your team name and name of each person on your team. (Must have at least 3 people, you can add two more later just let us know at the party)
4. If we still have spaces open when the Summit starts, stop by our display booth and sign your team up.

That’s it. Easy. The winning team will win some very cool prizes. All the teams will be hooked up with free appetizers and more beer during the trivia contest complements of Metal-tech 4x4 and Total Chaos Fabrication. Once we hit five teams, that’s it. Sign up ASAP as we expect the 5 spots to fill up fast. Should be a lot of fun to participate in and just watch for those at the party.
