2012 Toyota Camry

The exterior isn't very exciting. They couldn't come up with something better for the taillights? The interior looks fairly upscale. I'll wait until I see it in person.

Is this a refresh? It reminds me a lot of the 2007-2011 generation. Maybe they pulled a Corolla and just did some exterior/interior tweaks and are trying to pass it as a redesign. Im not really digging the 4runner interior in it neither.

Suppose to be the next generation.

The refresh for the 6th gen (MY 2007 to 2011) was in 2009 or 2010 I believe, the non-hybrid models got LED taillights and I don't recall for other models, but the front bumper was updated and the SE went from 6 spoke rims to 5 spokes.

You're correct.

The 7th gen Camry is a complete redesign but it is still technically on the same platform. Basically, it means that the engines and transmissions from the previous versions will fit and most of the basic chassis hardpoints are built to some standard. While the cabin of the car does look very similar to the previous, it is an all new model.

Personally, it is growing on me. To the point that I'm somewhat considering it as my wife's car in the fall. The hybrid version gets 43mpg city and 39mpg highway which is damn impressive. Plus, the interior space blows away the CT200h that she wants instead. If it just were a wagon/hatch. (I'm a sucker for practicality.) I love the look of the V6 SE interior (exterior looks better every time I see it), but I was really hoping to get something very efficient for our next car. Why can't I have the 200hp hybrid drivetrain in the V6 SE exterior and interior? But really, if they made a wagon, this would be what I'd buy. Nice evolution from the previous generation. It has the true Toyota Kaizen spirit.

This looks pretty sharp.

I think this has become my favorite Camry ever. Looks way better than the current Accord. The only thing I don't like is the 5th gen 4runner interior. Seems to SUV/Truck like to me. The 07-11's interior looked just fine.
