2013 TE front end conversion to 2014+ possible?

So if I wanted to convert my 2010 Limited to a 2014+ TE? I love the look of the new front bumpers and headlights! Not a big fan of the Big metal bumpers. So in theory could I buy the updated looks and paint them match?
 
After looking closely, you may be able to just fit the 2010 black trim pieces in place of the color-matched ones from the 2013+ bumper pieces. However, the rear bumper will either need to be painted flat black or simply left as 2013+ color-matched style.

saying the 14 and up are such better 4runners is stupid. What amazing changes effect driving everyday? Who cares about the antenna.
I prefer the cleaner look of the 10-13, especially in the trail.
I am not a fan of the blue gauges just like my wife's highlander. I love the optitron gauges and the center stack info center in the 10-13.
There is nothing amazingly better in the 14+ there are just changes some might prefer and others may not.
 
The other thing I would say is in my opinion the new front end design does not blend as well with the rest of the vehicle. You have this aggressive looking from end and the rest of the vehicle stays the same. The 5.0 seems to have more consistency in its style.
If you want the 5.0 to look more like the 5.5 pull off the front plastic grill. It will give you that big mouth like opening

Stupid is pretty strong, but having owned several of the years I'm in a educated position to give my opinion you are not, you are giving an outside observation which is fine but since you don't own one you can't comment on the build quality and the overall driving style and the small nuances. But you sound rather jealous, why be a hater. I love all year 4Runners for different reasons but come on dude fender antenna really lol I never put down the early model 4runners I just have a preference for the improvements made on the 14 and up and based on the sales figures , people agree with me.

In defense of LUVDA4RUNNER, and I have the same question. What made the 14+ noticeably better than earlier model besides some interior and exterior "cosmetic" changes? And those are subject to personal tastes.

Was anything mechanical updated as well? Suspensions, drive-train, gearing....?

I think it's all personal preference if you like the 10 to 13 style than that's the better truck for you. perfect , because I sell my lightly used toyota's for top dollar to people that allways prefer the outgoing body style for one reason or another, been that way forever . The 14 and up for me is so much better in so many ways and I really like the improvements that maybe don't matter to some people. It's all good , it's all toyota. And when the sixth gen 2017 comes out the party continues with..... "I hate the new one's ! better grab that 2016 blah blah blah. lol

You will enjoy the numerous upgrades every minute you enjoy it? I too have had other gens of 4runners. I recently was shopping trails. I drove a new 15. I did not notice the numerous upgrades every minute I was driving it. Never even noticed the lack of antenna. I bought a used trail because I got a nice deal and did not see the reason to buy a brand new one. They are basically the same vehicle

Why not just buy a 2010-2013 and do some work to replace the interior pieces you don't like? Seems much simpler to me, but then again I have a simple mind.

See now I hate that "made to fade"cheap looking black plastic. I had a 13 out here in SoCal and the roof rack was already turning a gray faded color and the fender flares were not far behind. I never liked that "made to fade" black plastic. wait 10 years. yuck Toyota tried that cheap looking black made to fade plastic in 2003 on the first year of the 4th gen and it was quickly discontinued. if you see one on the market now you'll know why they are gray and they look terrible.
but like I said to each his own.

As long as you have yourself convinced that's the most important thing , your paying for it. A five-minute test drive convinced you to buy used, that's interesting wish I was selling you a car.

If you're asking me what I like about my 15 over my 13 I can a list a few items in no particular order
Looks are subjective, I like the redesign and so does some percentage of the public with the sale numbers rising since 14, Much nicer instrument panel layout, much improved stereo without the "party mode", better navigation, soft text leather seats, much nicer looking mirrors with puddle lamps, easier layout for iPhone, LED taillamps, body painted flares, silver roof rack, unique 2 year only color, much improved thicker steering wheel,The interior was additionally insulated including the headliner which makes it quieter, redesign door panels, all black interior I hated that two-tone gray, removable left a pillar cover for easy access, no 1970s fender antenna ! Thicker/stronger brake hoses for improved brake pedal feel, power heated seats, under hood insulation .There are so many more things but these are just a few.

Ps. I'm not gonna go through and defend or explain above ,if someone doesn't agree or whatever so be it , we all have opinions and if some people like the 10 through 13 better great ! more power to them.
When the 2017 comes and I order mine and sell my 15 everybody will be panicing and saying you better find a 14 through 16 there the best and the new redesign is ugly and it's got a smaller motor blah blah . Watch and see. Happened in 09, go to the 4th gen section and read about the ugly , big ,bulky 2010 5th gen which you love so much. It's so funny.

No one sells me a car. I buy a car when the deal is right. i wasn't paying $15k more for blue gauges and fake leather.
I would imagine your salesperson loves you buying a 4runner and looking for a new one 2 years later. You might try leasing

People who clean and detail their vehicles realize that if you clean the trim regularly with cleaners made specifically for plastic trim will help it so it does not fade. Mine looks brand new no fade whatsoever
 
You could buy a baby crap 2016 TRD Pro and trade with for my 2013 Silver TE?

(Hey it was worth a shot.)
