Do any of you '14 owners, or any 5th gen (can't imagine the install is much different), install a homelink panel/rearview mirror in your runners?

Has anyone with the SR5 tried to install the homelink from the limited? Instead of the the rear view mirror...

Mine did not come with it. Had it added by a local company that does this sort of thing.
Far left button closes the garage door; far right opens gate at front of property
Love it. No more having to drag around hand held door/gate openers.
I had the SR5 Premium. Maybe it was just on that model.

Did you get the ignition voltage from the left kick panel or the overhead console? I checked multiple wires that are in the overhead console that aren't being used. I know white with a black stripe is ground I just need to find a key on voltage source up there. With my work schedule it will be next week before I can get by Toyota to look at a wiring diagram. Hoping someone on here knows. The vehicle in question is a 2015 SR5 2WD.

I installed the Gentex earlier this month and just used an add-a-circuit and tapped into a a fuse by the steering column. I think I put it on the IGN fuse so it comes on when the key turns on. I also spliced the homelink and dimmer together into one wire so I didn't have to mess with 2 fuses. They both take the same 5 amp fuse so I don't think it'll be a problem. Don't know if that's the "correct" way to do it, but ZERO issues so far.
I wasn't able to find a wire to get key on 12volts in the overhead console. I ended up getting my ground there and ran the power to the mirror switch. The pink wire at the power mirror switch is 12volts with the key on. Not sure what everyone is using for a mirror. I purchased mine from the local Toyota dealership. It is part # 00016-32012. The mirror also has a compass. I used the same mirror in my Tacoma.

WTF? They got rid of Homelink? Of all the buttons and knobs up there, the only one I press on a daily basis is that one?
OK maybe the vehicle stability so I can do donuts in the snow, but that's not that often.
That and a locking gas cap, although with gas around $2 its not a big deal right now.

One other option for those on a budget. I ordered a "keychain" opener off of Amazon for like $20. I put some velcro tape on the back and secured it to the roof of the lower dash cubby hole. You can't see it unless you have your head on the seat looking right at the dash with a flash light. Of course, there are a million places to stash one of these.

Pretty straight forward wiring. 4 wires, 2 for HomeLink and 2 for the autodimmer. I just ran them down to the fusebox under the steering wheel and used some add-a-circuits to add them to IGN powered fuses. The harness has 2 extra wires for if you want to add the temp sensor, but this mirror doesn't support it so I just cut them out. Really pretty simple. Once I got the add-a-circuits and figured out where I wanted to wire everything it took maybe 30 minutes to install.
