2014+ Limited with 17" trail wheels

I have a black Limited and just bought a set of the 2006 Sequoia split 5 spoke wheels, but I heavily considered the 4Runner Trail wheels before making that call. Looking at these pics, maybe I shouldn't have spent $1700 on OEM wheels when people here are selling Trail take-offs for $500.

Agreed the TRD wheels look awesome, really like the gunmetal colour. For the price I paid for these virtually brand new Trail wheels/tyres though off-of Craigslist, couldn't justify the extra expense for the TRDs.

Any of you guys have pictures of how close the calipers are to the barrel of the wheel? I wouldn't think the LE calipers are larger but man I can barely fit 3 fingers between closest point of my caliper and the 20s... Starting to worry about the barrel being 1.5" closer lol.

I bought a 2017 Limited in Sept and put the trail wheels on in Nov with 32 KO2's. I think it looks great and its wayyyy better off road. The wife however thinks it looks way worse and wasn't that pleased... lol

Lol! My wife is complaining up a storm about me taking off the factory 20s as well. I prefer the 17s as well for mild off roading.

Thank you for the picture, I figured I'd be okay just wanted to confirm I wasn't missing something and them changing the size of the calipers in 2018. Btw, looks incredible, very excited to get mine mounted up tomorrow

I'm about to pick up an '18 and was planning on picking up someone's off road take-offs, but if I can get the dealer to do it and not have to try to sell the 20's, that might be even better.

I suspect the dealer will hose you on price, use craigslist or this forum for buying and selling and it shouldn’t be that painful, just a little time.

People like replacing a solid OE wheel with cheap junk because they "like" the way it looks. Not all but most don't seem to replace with a more functional wheel.

No those are brand new trail wheels. I was prepared to swap the trail wheels off my old 4Runner, but since those had 80K on them, I figured I would at least ask for the new wheels. My salesman didn't even question it, no extra charge. (this is my third 4Runner, + a used truck and a Camry from the same guy over the years). He said they would put the new 20's on my old Limited, then take the Trails off the old Limited and put on a used SR5, etc....

I managed to pick up a set 18 trail take offs for $400 out the door from a dealer here in NC. About the same as I'm finding online.

I did the older SR5 wheels for my winter set. After the winter, when we went to put the 20's back on, we really preferred the 17s. So another trip to Toyota for the 2018 SR5 wheels, since we couldn't find any Trail wheels. They will be the new summer ones, and the 20's were sold. I will post another pic of the new SR5 wheels in the link below when I put them on this weekend.
