I need to replace the rear wiper arm on my 2014 SR5. I got the nut off the wiper arm stud but could not get the arm to budge. I sprayed it with PB Blaster and let it sit overnight. This morning I still couldn’t get the arm off so grabbed a puller from the local AutoZone. All I could accomplish with that is to break the plastic on the arm. That did allow me to get the arm off but not nut that the plastic surrounded.
In the photos, the toothed nut on the stud was part of the arm and is supposed to come off, right? I put a vice-grips on it but it is not turning. It’s now sitting in PB Blaster. I’m reluctant to use a torch on it because of the rubber cover below the nut.
Before I really Strongarm it I want to make sure I’m not missing something, like a retaining clip hidden by the rust.
Thanks
