2014+ Trail/SR5 Non-Premium Owners- Center Display

Hey SR5/Trail Non-Premium owners-

Can you tell me if your center accessory display only has a clock? I'm wondering if for the 2014 model year change the display was ommited from previous years (see below)

When posting can you also let me know which model (SR5 or Trail) you have.

2014 SR5 owner here...and yes, i only have a clock in the center. But i also disclose, my runner was a left over demo model that also doesnt have a moonroof, passenger electronically adjustable seat, and a few other odds and ends that i have seen many others have.

one of the things i was looking forward to in a 4R was the center display showing various things like range of gas...

i believe, with the upgrades of the guage display, which is now changeable to show the same information, along with all 2014s and later now having entune displays (which is one of the reasons i went with it over a 2011 i was eyeing), that someone saw that it was redundant to have the center dash display showing the same information. IMHO...

in any event, with the gauge display, i still get the current and avg mph, range with available fuel, outside temp, ect.

Our 2014 Trail Premium has the display and clock in the center. However I have seen on here where the 15s have the clock only.

I believe they dropped the center info display on all of the trim levels starting in 2015. Super bummer in my opinion… just another item reserved for the elites rollin' Land Cruisers.

Thanks for the feedback and for linking the old thread. Shame that its still listed as a feature across the website and on 2015 brochures. I wonder if we can band together and get Toyota to act on this...

Center clock only on our '15 TP... I like the new display being directly in front of the driver now but wish they also kept the center console display as well. The new changes over all are a welcome change/upgrade.

I have a 2014 sr5 that only has the clock in the display above the radio just like yours. My question to you is this, do you know if there is a way to reset one trip (A) mpg without affecting the trip (B) mpg. Iam trying to do a running average of mpg on trip a while resetting trip b mpg every tank?
I don't know where else to ask this question on this forum as iam a new member

2015 Trail Edition

Only a clock in the center. Everything else is on a nice easy to read screen in the middle of your instrument cluster, much better imo. Also has the mode button on the steering wheel.

It's strange some 2014's only have the clock. I have a standard trail and it has the full display: compass, mpg/range, temp, time. Maybe it was a mid-2014 change? Mine was built in Nov 2013

Info still available, All that info is now shifted to the dash info display . I do wish they've kept it where it was. Heading, temp trip, ODO are permanent and you toggle all the mpg info through the "disp" button in the steering wheel controls. The terrain, crawl and 4x4 modes are all displayed when activated

yes...15mpg is the best I've been able to squeeze put of my TRD pro. thank god I'm used to my discovery that struggles to get above 10 mpg

14 TE, manufacturing date Feb 2014.

Mine has the full center display with clock, temperature, compass, mpg and range with display adjustment and compass calibration setup. Also displays crawl control and terrain selection info. However I never noticed if the new display at the center of the instrument cluster shows crawl control and terrain selection info.

It is very odd for me to see Toyota has dropped this feature on 2015 models.

On my wife's '15 they simply moved all of that info to the instrument cluster display...temp, compass, mpg, all-terrain mode. Center dash display shows time.

But I am very dissapointed to see my 15 TRD Pro without that centre screen...

And no turn signal indicator on my mirrors :/ weird

There is a thread discussing a possible '14 retrofit into '15+ models if you search. So far there has been no successful attempt to actually do this. Someone has purchased a '14 display but has not reported back since. As I understand it the retrofit requires a different crawl control switch and may also require a different cluster. Not 100% on the cluster though as I said there has been no successful attempt to document exactly what this would require or if possible at all.

I wonder if it would be possible to retrofit a 2015-17 SR5/Trail with the 2014 center clock display showing compass direction, range, etc. I'm curious if the connection is there wiring wise. I might have to play with this idea if I can get my hands on a used clock display....
